Steve MacDonald has spent more than twenty-five years helping leaders and organisations find clarity, build genuine connection, and create cultures where people thrive. As a co-founder of Implexa Consulting, Steve brings that same conviction to everything Implexa does: that every person carries unique dignity, purpose, and potential -- and that the most effective leadership begins by honouring that truth.
Steve is also a founder of BeyondLeadership and Values Navigator, and creator of the FutureShift Framework, a methodology for helping high performers, teams, and organisations navigate transition with integrity. His work integrates personal values, team motivators, and organisational systems to unlock what he calls the collective genius of people and cultures. He is the author of Press Pause and The Values Navigator, and has been recognised as a Global 100 Winner for 2026.
His work has taken him from mine sites to boardrooms, from schools and government departments to global corporations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and North America. Across every setting, the question has remained the same: how do we help people get the best out of themselves and one another? That question is what drew Steve to Implexa. He believes Australia's future as a nation is inseparable from its willingness to understand its past, and that the most effective leaders are those who can hold both realities -- heritage and horizon -- with honesty, humility, and hope.
Outside of work, Steve is a husband, father, enthusiastic half-marathoner, and lover of cricket. He believes that rhythm in life, as in leadership, is everything.
